Sadie von Selbitz

Sadie von Selbitz is a 2-3 year old black and red long haired German Shepherd. Sadie was found huddled by the side of the road in the dark. She was nothing more than a skeleton, but still sweet and grateful for the help she got when she arrived at the rescue. She is such a beauty, we knew she had come from a breeder just by looking at her. We will never know how her life had gone so wrong! Her fur was a matted mess, the dirt was so caked on her coat that the groomer thought it was tar. She only weighs just under 40 pounds, we could feel every rib in her body. A dog her size should weigh 75 pounds at least. We are hoping for a foster home where Sadie could continue healing. She is good with other dogs, she just has no confidence. We can imagine that after the neglect she suffered, she is a little tentative, but so wants someone to love. Could it be you who offers her a helping hand?
